Division Updates – The Latest in Sensors, Connectivity and Fieldbus Technology Connectivity Product Change Notification - Deutsch Connectors Turck has expanded its portfolio of linear position sensors for mobile hydraulics with the introduction of the LTE series. The LTE is a rugged, accurate, programmable zero and span, auto-tuning, non-contact linear position sensor in a compact embedded rod-style package. The embedded package style allows the unit to be completely installed inside of a hydraulic cylinder, which protects the transducers from outside conditions. High accuracy - combined with 16-bit output resolution - provides reliable, absolute position feedback to help automate today’s sophisticated mobile machinery. The rugged design of the sensor allows it to perform flawlessly in applications that involve high pressure, extreme temperatures, and continuous shock and vibration.

Connectivity Update: 4 & 8 Port Multibox® M8 Picofast® Junction Boxes In February, we announced a Product Change for the 4 & 8 Port Multibox® M8 Picofast® Junction Box products. The new product is now available. For more information, please download the original notification.

Division Updates – The Latest in Sensors, Connectivity and Fieldbus Technology Fieldbus Technology New Demo Board for the Hybrid Safety IO Block for CIP-Safety over Ethernet/IP Turck has released a new demo board to showcase our Hybrid Safety Module for CIP-Safety over EtherNet/IP. This block combines both safety inputs/outputs and general purpose inputs/outputs in a single device. Furthermore, the general purpose portion features two IO-Link master ports allowing for flexibility in field I/O devices or expansion capability via an IO-Link hub. The board itself shows a Hybrid Safety Module performing standalone (local) control over a safety task, providing diagnostic information to a TX500 series HMI/ PLC functioning as a general purpose EtherNet/IP master. The safety task includes a motor rotating behind a light curtain. Interrupting the light curtain removes power to the motor with an automatic restart. An E-Stop button also stops the process, requiring an acknowledge/reset to restore operation. The TX500 HMI/PLC includes status information and diagnostics, as well as an overview of the Hybrid Safety Module features/benefits. This board can be checked out through Custom Point, via Turck Connect.
