Dear Parents and Carers, Walk of Life - Saturday 12th May 2018 We are very proud that Mrs Towner and Mr Duncan are taking part in the Walk of Life on Saturday to raise money for the RUH. This involves walking 26 miles along the Kennet and Avon Canal towpath. Mr Duncan has promised to wear a satin superhero cape and mask to encourage generous sponsorship. Please ask in reception for more information about the course and to sign a sponsorship form. Alternatively, you can sponsor online:
We are very much looking forward to our Summer Fete, on Friday 29th June, in just over 8 weeks’ time. In order to gather together some prizes, we will be holding a series of Mufti Days; the first of which is this Friday.
We are inviting children to wear their own clothes on the following Fridays, in exchange for prize donations:
Friday 11th May – Sweet Mufti Please send in bags of sweets. Friday 25th May – Biscuit and Chocolate Mufti Please send in packets biscuits and chocolate. Friday 15th June – Bottle Mufti Please send in bottles (of wine, beer, soft-drinks).
Royal Wedding High Tea – Friday 18th May We are very pleased to have received an invitation from St Michael’s Junior School to join them for a joint celebration of the forthcoming wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on Friday 18th May. Instead of eating lunch at school, we will head down to the (sunny) field at St Michael’s Junior School and enjoy a Royal High Tea (see menu above). Families are very welcome to bring along a picnic and join their children. Everyone, especially the children, is encouraged to wear RED,
and BLUE in
patriotic style. We will have an early collection of children at 2:00pm to mark the occasion. More details to follow. Due to the Royal High Tea on Friday, the school lunch on Thursday 17th May will be Fish Fingers & Chips.
