WHEN TO GO WHERE

UK/Europe encompasses a large area spanning many latitudes + weather zones. Anytime is the best time - it just depends on when you’re going!

WESTERN EUROPE

Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands + Switzerland.

EASTERN EUROPE

Even though you’ll experience mostly sunny days, July for instance is Paris’ rainiest month! Remember to pack a poncho or umbrella. Off season is much quieter + less expensive. Some cities, like Berlin, show their best when the temperatures drop. This is a great time to see opera, listen to choirs + attend Christmas Markets.

Summers are warm but still best to carry a small travel umbrella for those unexpected showers. Keep in mind that wearing shorts can limit your access to certain cathedrals + religious attractions. In wintertime make the most of the limited daylight hours. Certain sites remain open but tend to close earlier than you think!

SOUTHERN EUROPE

NORTHERN EUROPE Denmark, Estonia, Finland,

Summer means lots of locals + tourists all enjoying the incredible climate! If you don’t enjoy big crowds or long queues, + rather take the road less travelled, look for hidden spots like Sardinia + Puglia. Some cities can be unbearably hot + best enjoyed when the sun goes down - rootop bars in Barcelona! Winter can be the best time when you can immerse yourself in urban culture + have your pick of restaurants + attractions with no queues!

Weather can still be unpredictable so best have layers - but Summer is the best time for walking + cycling in UK + Ireland. If you don’t like the cold, best to visit Scandinavia between mid-June to late August when the days are long. Winter is very cold however so pack plenty of layers + waterproof boots! Plan your day with visits to museums, theatres + wintertime charm to make for a cultural experience. Europe at its most European!

Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Macedonia, Montenegro, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia + Spain.

Poland, Russia + Slovakia

Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary,

Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden + the United Kingdom.
