UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE FOREST SERVICE SALMON-CHALLIS NATIONAL FOREST NORTH FORK RANGER DISTRICT Three Mile Fire Emergency Road and Trail Closure PROHIBITIONS: Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50 (b), the following act is prohibited on the roads, and trails as described in this order, all within the North Fork Ranger District, Salmon-Challis National Forest until further notice: 1. EXEMPTIONS: Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this order: 1. 2.
Persons with a permit specifically exempting them from the effect of this Order. Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty. AREA DESCRIBED: The Continental Divide Trail (CDT) and Anderson Mountain Road (Forest Service Road #081) are temporarily closed from their intersection with Highway 43 (T27N,R21E, Sec11) heading south to the end of the Anderson Mountain Road (FSR #081) (T26N,R22E,Sec6). The temporary closure of the CDT then continues from its intersection with FSR #081 (T27N, R22E, Sec31) south to Big Hole Pass (T26N, R22E, Sec26). Trail #6125 is closed beginning at the Forest Boundary (T26N, R22E, Sec22) heading north to its intersection with Trail #6124 (T26N, R22E, Sec3). Trail #6124 is closed from its intersection with Forest Service Road #079 (T26N, R22E, Sec28) heading north to its intersection with the CDT (T26N, R22E, Sec3). Road #080 is closed from its intersection with FSR #079 (T26N, R22E, Sec28) heading northwest to its end (T26N, R22E, Sec19). Trail #6123 is closed from its intersection with the CDT (T26N, R22E, Sec5) heading south to its end (T26N, R22E, Sec19). Trail #6122.07 is closed from its intersection with Trail #6123 (T26N, R22E, Sec6) to its end (T26N, R21E, Sec24). The above-described area is within the proclaimed and administrative boundaries of the North Fork Ranger District, Salmon-Challis National Forest, and Lemhi County, Idaho. PURPOSE: These closures are necessary to provide protection to forest visitors from the current fire safety hazards associated with the Three Mile Fire. IMPLEMENTATION: 1. 2. 3.

This Order will be in effect when signed and shall remain in effect until 07/31/2016 or until otherwise rescinded. A map identifying the closure area is attached and made part of this Order. Any violation of this prohibition is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000.00 for an individual or $10,000 for an organization, and/or imprisonment for not more than six (6) months. [Title 16 USC 551, Title 18 USC 3571 (b) (6), Title 18 USC 3581 (b) (7)]. This Order supersedes any previous orders prohibiting the same acts covered by this Order in the above-described area.
