United Way of Greater Mercer County Announces New Board Members Lawrenceville, NJ, July 9, 2018- United Way of Greater Mercer County (UWGMC) announces the appointment of three new board members to its Board of Directors, and the full slate of board members for 2018 fiscal year. Joining the Board of Directors are Elizabeth (Betsy) Hanna, Vince Marcucci, and Richard S. Willinger. “With UWGMC’s new focus on individuals and families walking a financial tight rope, also known as the Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed (A.L.I.C.E.) population in Mercer County, we are excited that they will join us in this endeavor to improve the quality of life of families in our community,” said Sandra Toussaint, President & CEO of UWGMC. Elizabeth (Betsy) Hanna is the President, Human Health, and Chief Operating Officer at Origin Inc. Hanna has spent most of her career with pharmaceutical giant Johnson & Johnson; where she ran the company’s Europe, Mideast, and Africa diagnostics business. She has held management roles at Bristol-Myers Squibb and Tyco International. She is now at the forefront of a small biotechnology startup, Origin Inc, to develop and commercialize medical technology. Hanna earned her MBA from Harvard University Business School and a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois. She currently lives in Princeton, New Jersey and enjoys sailing, scuba diving and golf. Vince Marcucci is the Director, Corporate & Community Affairs, of the Trenton Thunder Baseball Club, AA Affiliate of the New York Yankees. He manages the team’s corporate sponsorship program, charitable giving portfolio, community engagement activities and is the Executive Director of the Grand Slam We Care Foundation. Marcucci, is involved in various ways in the community. He is on the Advancing Opportunities, Inc. Board of Directors, and is part of the young professional committees at the Lower Bucks Chamber of Commerce and the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce as their Vice Chair. Marcucci was recently named 2018 Young Professional of the Year by the Lower Bucks Chamber of Commerce.

Richard S. Willinger is the Managing Director at The Mercadien Group and Principal at Mercadien, P.C., CPAs. He has been with the firm for about 20 years and leads their tax department where he focuses on the needs of individuals and businesses. Willinger is passionate about organizations that help individuals and families be selfsufficient and therefore, realized that with UWGMC’s new focus it would be a perfect fit. His past nonprofit affiliations include being a former board member of HomeFront. Willinger enjoys spending time with his family, traveling to Aruba as well as spending time on the golf course.
