Real Madrid vs Liverpool Saturday May 26th 2018, 7:45PM NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium, Kiev Officials: Referee: Milorad Mazic (Serbia) Assistant Referees: Milovan Ristic (Serbia) & Dalibor Durdevic (Serbia) This Saturday evening we'll be treated to the spectacle of all spectacles as Real Madrid and Liverpool descend upon the NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Kiev for the UEFA Champions League Final. It's no secret that both sides have seen an overabundance of goals both domestically and in this competition this season and we should be in a real treat this weekend. Liverpool are appearing in their 8th Champions League final, having last made it here in 2007 when they were beaten by Milan. They've won the tournament on 5 previous occasions and everyone remembers that night in Istanbul back in 2005 when Liverpool produced the comeback of all comebacks against the aforementioned Milan to mark their last win in the competition. Liverpool's route to the final has been one filled with plenty of drama and plenty of goals. Their run started all the way back on the 15th of August when they made it through a qualifying tie vs Hoffenheim, putting them into the group stage in Group E with Sevilla, Spartak Moscow and Maribor. It was a group which most saw them getting out of to be honest, though most expected it to be behind Sevilla and yet they absolutely dominated, winning 3 and drawing 3 of their 6 games, but scoring an incredible 23 goals in the process, a tally which only PSG beat of all the sides in the group stages. Porto awaited in the last 16 and a 0-5 away win against the Portuguese side meant Klopp's side were able to just shut up shop in the 2nd leg and seal a tie with Man City in the Quarter Finals. There weren't many out there who expected Liverpool to make it past the English champions and yet they did, 5-1 on aggregate over the two legs. Their final hurdle was Roma in the semi-finals and this produced the highest aggregate scoring game in UEFA Champions League history, Liverpool progressing 7-6 over two legs. Real Madrid come into the final with a pedigree which is unrivalled at this level. They're not only aiming for their 13th title in 16 final appearances, they're aiming to be the first side to win the UEFA Champions League 3 times in a row, having claimed the title in 2016 & 2017. Drawn in a group which contained Tottenham, Dortmund and APOEL, Real Madrid were essentially handed a group of death (apart from APOEL obviously) which immediately had pulses racing. In the end, it didn't really turn out that way as Dortmund just didn't turn up, but we did get to see how Real Madrid would fair against an English side when they met Spurs. 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss was not enough to see Zidane's men top the group, and so they were forced into a very tough draw. It has to be said though, having faced 3 former champions in each of the next 3 rounds, they have done well to get to Kiev. A 5-2 aggregate win over PSG was folloed by 4-3 aggregate wins over Juventus and Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals and semi-finals respectively.

The Bets I don't think it's any secret that pretty much everyone on earth fancies goals here and why not? Both are very attacking side who have very little care for a clean sheet and both generally play with the mindset of "score as many as you want against us, we'll just score more". We've looked over the stats in our book and we see no reason to back against the crowd here, there simply has to be goals in what will be an exciting tie. On the corners front, Real Madrid looks the way to go for us. As you can see from the stats, they're regularly hitting over the 4 or 5 mark, so we like the look of 4.5+ Real Madrid Corners there. And given that it's the final, with a Serbian ref, a couple of cards wouldn't be off the table too. So we've decided on our bet. This doesn't necessarily mean you need to back it, you could obviously use the stats and interpret them however you wish, but we thought we'd at least give you one bet to have a think about: Over 2.5 Goals, Real Madrid Over 4.5 Team Corners, Both Teams Over 0.5 Cards - AVAILABLE AT 13/10 WITH BETVICTOR (Most places probably wouldn't mind pricing this up if you ask them though)
