For all Rotary Clubs in Rotary District 7150 2016-17 Rotary International District 7150 Veteran Services Chair John “Ziggy” Zygmunt, is pleased to announce the District 7150 Veterans Achievement Award This Veterans Achievement Award is being offered in 2016-17 to recognize projects conducted by District 7150 Rotary Clubs that address the Rotary International theme, “Rotary Serving Humanity.” This award places a focus on serving the Veterans population. The project or program nominated should identify a community problem or need related to the Veteran Populations; be a viable sustainable service project/program that will be continued in the future by the Rotary Club alone or in cooperation with other community or service organizations; and promote increased awareness of the wide range of life events and challenges experienced by members of these populations.

Award Criteria Only club projects that meet the award criteria will be considered for this recognition. The project must: ● Address a significant problem or need of the Veteran Populations in the local community ● Be viable and sustainable within the Rotary community beyond the year initiated ● Involve most or all the club members in personal rather than merely monetary service ● Be commensurate with the size of the club and the resources available ● Enhance the image of Rotary in the community ● Be currently active or be reaching a conclusion during this Rotary year

Award Content ● Selected Rotary Clubs will receive 1000 recognition points from the District, to be allocated for Paul Harris Fellow recognition to the individual of the club’s choosing.
