Viewing User Progress The User Progress tool allows you to see how students are using Desire2Learn and your course in particular. The User Progress tool has changed a great deal from v10 to 10.1. Though it is still accessible from both the Classlist and Grades areas, it now allows you a class view via Edit Course.
Viewing an Individual Student’s Access Step 1: Access User Progress To view an individual student’s progress: In the Classlist or Grades area, from the dropdown next to the student’s name, select View Progress. 1. Classlist View:

Step 2: Adjust Settings (as needed) The first time you enter the User Progress area, you may want to adjust the Settings in order to view user progress for the tools that you use in D2L. You will need to do this for each class that you access User Progress. To adjust the settings for viewing user progress:
1. Click Settings 2. Select/unselect the Progress Indicators 3. Make any adjustments to the Color Indicators (as desired) 4. Click Save and Close

Step 3: View User Progress (Progress Summary Page) When viewing progress for a particular student, select the tool at left to view the student’s progress. Notes:
To view statistics by tool, go to that particular tool (Content, Discussions, Quizzes, Grades). When you mouse over the color bars that show completion, individual scores will display.
Viewing the Progress of Your Class To view the progress of your class as a whole (and individuals as desired): 1. Go to Edit Course 2. Select View User Progress (under Learner Management). 3. On the Class Progress page, you will see overall progress for your students: 4. Adjust the Settings as needed to customize how you want to view the Class Progress screen. 5. Click on a student’s name to view progress for an individual student.
