Celebration of Smiles Vine Contest Purpose: In honor of America’s ToothFairy’s 10th Anniversary in February of 2016, we want to engage with your school, organization, community group and more by Vine video! Deadline: Friday, January 14, 2016 Winners Announced: Friday, January 28, 2016 How to Participate in the Contest:
1. Download the Vine app on your smartphone and create an account. Add MySmileMatters on Vine and check out some of our own posted content. 2. Complete this short application and let us know you are interested in the Vine Contest! Ideas for Vine Videos: • Hold a brainstorming session to determine what your video will be about. Remember Vine videos are short, so your message must be quick and impactful. • Read the #MySmileMatters Engagement Plan. The plan is a direct ticket to helping youth engage in the oral health conversation and participate in dental health-related happenings throughout the school year. Pick one or more activities in the plan to highlight in your Vine. • If your group has a ToothFairy 101 Community Education Kit, make a Vine using the Kit. • Illustrate why children’s oral health matters and dental health care is essential for everyone. • Make a video on the importance of fluoridated water in communities. • Take a trip to your local farmers market for tooth-friendly food! All videos must tag MySmileMatters via the Vine app. All videos must be tagged with the hashtag #AmerToothFairyis10 Groups can submit multiple Vines for judging. Videos may be posted to other forms of social media (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram), but must use the Vine format for creation. 5. Do not miss the due date of Friday, January 14, 2016.
