- Stacy Hayes, VP Strategic Partnerships, Virtustream As Virtustream’s growth accelerated, it needed a partner that could help it scale its enterprise-class cloud solutions. • Enhance cloud scalability and performance

Challenges

• Boost revenue by increasing workload density • Provide innovative methods to facilitate service provider growth

Virtustream has deep SAP expertise, helping enterprises take advantage of cloud economics with its xStream-powered infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) offerings. Virtustream specializes in cloud and hosting services for SAP, with nearly 500 SAP HANA instance migrations to date. It was the first service provider to offer SAP and SAP HANA in a multitenant cloud. To meet the security, compliance, performance, and efficiency requirements of complex production applications in the cloud, Virtustream selected the Cisco Unified Computing System™ (Cisco UCS®) and Cisco® networking technology for its data centers. “We chose Cisco technology because it is well suited for SAP workloads,” says Stacy Hayes, Virtustream’s vice president for strategic partnerships. “We wanted more options for cloud architectures and a partner that is committed to providing certified platforms for SAP.” Virtustream also decided to take its relationship with Cisco to the next level by joining the Cisco Cloud and Managed Services Program, which recognizes, enables, and rewards partners that offer SAP cloud and managed services.
