DECEMBER HOLIDAY INTENSIVE 2-DAY WEEKEND SCUBA COURSE FOR THE BEGINNER COURSE ORIENTATION MEETINGS:

(Free of charge) Thurs. Dec. 3rd , (7PM) at SPE Dive School, LLC or Fri. Dec. 4th, (7PM), 2009 at SPE Dive School. Will include orientation and complete information about the course. Usually takes 1½ hours. Attending an orientation session is highly recommended but not required. Bring your friends. SPE Dive School, LLC 4600 N. Park Ave. Suite 111, Chevy Chase MD (near Friendship Heights Metro Redline). Public parking is available at the Holiday Inn. We highly recommend printing the map from the directions page of SCUBAedu.com to bring along to your first visit. Classes meet on Sat. Dec. 5thth & Sun. Dec. 6th , 2009 from 9 AM to approximately 9pm each day.

Minimum age is 12, basic swimming ability required.

Is Required. You may guarantee a space by paying your course fee of $295 per person*. You may pre-register online. Class size is limited and weekend courses tend to fill quickly.

All necessary equipment will be supplied for the course except for personal gear (mask, snorkel, fins, fin booties, weights and weight belt). However, do not purchase anything until you have been through the orientation. All personal gear must be SCUBA rated and meet the approval of your instructor. A very large selection of all skin diving/ SCUBA gear is available for purchase at discount prices, at SPE Dive School. This service is ONLY available to SPE students and their family members. For your convenience, the 1st 3 hours of every course are dedicated to fitting our students for the gear they need to purchase for the course as well as future dives. $295 per person, due at the first class meeting. Students successfully completing all lectures and water work will be qualified to receive an international PADI, YMCA, and/or CMAS Open Water Certification, which does not expire and needs no renewal. This certification is valid worldwide for buying air, renting dive gear and participating in group dive expeditions. A dive trip to Grand Cayman Island is offered monthly at the end of each course for those who would like to complete their open water dives in the ultimate dive environment. Trips leave DC on Fridays; you may return as early as Sunday or stay as long as you wish. Are also offered during all Cayman Island trips for certified or beginner divers.
