Award-winning Cape Town Fashion Designer Lara Klawikowski’s Autumn/Winter collection has arrived. The high-concept womens-wear garments are classic Klawikowski, albeit slightly more subtle with muted silhouettes, but with the same signature fabric applications. Popularly described as “wearable art” her label employs unexpected and complex garment construction, often referencing historical fashion.

Ceramic Artist Penny Howson was born in South Africa, but has travelled extensively, picking up the styles of the great architects and artists of the past. Before entering the world of ceramic art, she worked as a very successful fashion designer, specialising in leather design. Her designs had massive global appeal and were so successful that she dressed Tina Turner, the stars of Dynasty and loads of other celebrities in the US. Described as pieces that have a ‘style of their own’ and that are influenced by the essence of her travel experiences, stories and unique individuality, Howson’s ceramics have sold to collectors both locally and abroad. She has experimented with a large variety of ways to interpret life through clay, reflecting her creative style, which expresses freedom, colour and the love of creative interpretations. Some of her work can be viewed upstairs at The Bromwell. Come have a look and experience Howson’s uniqueness of spirit.
