Shareholders will enjoy the festivities at our picnic with a burger, chips, cookie, drink and live entertainment from a favorite local band. Tickets are $5 per person. Don’t forget to take a trip around the 77-acre Nebraska Furniture Mart campus with the largest and widest selection of the best Furniture, Flooring, Appliances, Electronics and Service. Sunday, May 1 Borsheims Shopping Day Borsheims invites you to an exclusive shareholder-only shopping day where fine jewelry, gifts and watches await - all at a special discount for Berkshire shareholders! Check out our extensive inventory, including the latest Berkshire Hathaway memorabilia, and many one-of-a-kind pieces brought in by some of the world's leading designers. The excitement starts at 9am with brunch and continues with world-champion activities beginning at 1pm. Two-time U.S. chess champion, Patrick Wolff, top bridge experts, Bob Hamman and Sharon Osberg, and magician Normal Beck will all be ready to take on and entertain shareholders. And this year, Borsheims has also added a new, but familiar face to our expert sales staff. While Warren Buffett hasn’t completed his gemology training yet, he'll be selling jewelry on the sales floor in the afternoon. As Warren says, “if you don’t know jewelry, know the jeweler.” Gorat’s One of Warren’s favorite steakhouses will open Sunday for a private shareholder event. Dinner will be served from 1-10pm but not for those without a reservation! To get one, call 402/551-3733 on April 1 (but not before). If they happen to be booked on Sunday, try them on any other evening you are in town They are open on Friday and Saturday from 4 - 11pm. Piccolo’s Another favorite steakhouse of Warren’s is Piccolo’s. Piccolo’s will open at 4pm on Sunday. They are currently taking reservations. They are also open on Friday from 5 - 10pm and Saturday 4:30 - 10pm. Don't forget to order Warren’s favorite giant root beer float!

Important Notes Breakfast & Lunch Fare A continental breakfast will be served from the concession stands on Saturday morning at the Qwest Center. In addition to the concession stands in the Arena, there are three located in the Convention Center (Exhibit Hall). Lunch will also be available for purchase from all the concession stands. Cameras/Recording Equipment/Cell Phones Taking photographs and recording audio or video while the annual meeting is in session (including the movie portion), is strictly prohibited. This includes the use of cell phones for these purposes. This policy will be rigorously enforced. Offenders are subject to equipment confiscation, meeting credential revocation, and dismissal from the meeting. Americans With Disabilities Act The Qwest Center Omaha is a public facility subject to Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The facility is accessible to disabled patrons, as required by the ADA and applicable regulations. An ADA entrance is located in the Main Arena Lobby on the 10th Street side of the building. ADA seating is available on the main floor, as well as locations throughout the arena. Event Staff personnel will be available to direct you. ADA parking is located in the parking garage as well as lots B, D, E, F and G.

Borsheims Direct Express In addition to the regularly scheduled shuttle service provided on Saturday (see pages 10 and 11 for shuttle schedule), Borsheims will again be providing an exclusive Borsheims Direct Express shuttle service from the 10th Street side of the Qwest Center to Borsheims every 20 minutes from 11am – 5pm. “Mini” Meetings Located in the Exhibit Hall, there will be areas for you to watch the annual meeting live while you shop the day of the meeting. Shareholders receive a 20% discount. Shipping service is available. Send You Packin’ Our on-site shipping service will be back and we encourage you to take advantage of the convenience of shopping heavily and traveling home light! Please note that there is a charge for this service and it will be limited to the items purchased the day of the meeting.

Student Seating Due to increasing attendance numbers, and in order to not impose on our shareholders priority seating in the arena, we are asking the students to view the meeting from the Grand Ballroom at the Omaha Hilton. We have made arrangements for a live broadcast (including the company movie) to the ballroom.* When the meeting adjourns for the lunch break, students are welcome to join the shareholders at the Qwest Center. *The student section will not be set up to participate in the Q&A. Seat Saving We have received complaints from some shareholders about excessive seat saving in the Arena the morning of the meeting. Reserving a few seats for your group is certainly acceptable, but blocking off entire rows is unfair to the other shareholders. Security will assist in enforcing this policy. Travel For all your travel and hotel needs, contact American Express Travel. They work exclusively on the Berkshire meeting and are our resident experts on airline and hotel availability. Book your rooms well in advance of the meeting.

Q&A Period A Message From Your Chairman... Financial journalists from organizations representing newspapers, magazines and television will participate in the question-and-answer period, asking Charlie and me questions that shareholders have submitted by e-mail. The journalists and their e-mail addresses are: Carol Loomis, of Fortune, who may be emailed at [email protected]; Becky Quick, of CNBC, at [email protected], and Andrew Ross Sorkin, of The New York Times, at [email protected]. From the questions submitted, each journalist will choose the dozen or so he or she decides are the most interesting and important. (In your e-mail, let the journalist know if you would like your name mentioned if your question is selected.) Neither Charlie nor I will get so much as a clue about the questions to be asked. We know the journalists will pick some tough ones and that’s the way we like it. We will have a drawing at 8:15 at each of the 13 microphones for those shareholders wishing to ask questions themselves. At the meeting, I will alternate the questions asked by the journalists with those from the winning shareholders. We've added 30 minutes to the question time and will probably have time for about 30 questions from each group.

Microphone Manners When asking a question from a microphone zone, please: • State your name and hometown. • Ask your question promptly - speak loud & clear. • Do not ask more than one question or attempt to “bundle” several questions together. • Do not ask what we are buying or selling. Even if the information is public, we do not discuss how we arrive at our decisions. Any other subjects are fair game.
