Q42) Compare and contrast Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. Include in your answer

details about things like grape characteristics, suitable climates and soils, major growing regions, winemaking techniques, etc. This question is worth 6 points.

Your answer Chardonnay is more full bodied than Sauvignon Blanc. Old world chardonnay is more apple, quince - sauvignon blanc is more grapefruit, gooseberry. New world chardonnay is more tropical fruit, new world sauv is pink grapefruit, lemongrass. Chardonnay more often goes through Malo and is more often oaked. Sauvignon blanc less often goes through malo (mostly in bordeaux) and expresses brighter acidity. Sauvignon and chardonnay grow in mostly the similar climates that can vary from continental and maritime, not so much mediterranean. Loire is Sauv Blanc, Burgundy is chardonnay, both grow in cali, I'm running out of time..
