How to Get Started: If you were invited to join, you should receive an invitation email from VMware Advocacy. You may also request an invitation by emailing
[email protected]. Once you receive this email, click “Accept Invitation” and register:
•
Register your name, email and password
•
Connect your personal social networks (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
•
Upload your account photo
•
Select category preferences for a personalized content feed
•
Submit your registration and you will receive a welcome email. Click “Open Community Feed” to enter the VMware Social Media Advocacy site: https://advocacy.vmware.com

Enter your email and password
•
(Optional) community name: VMWARE (or advocacy.vmware.com)
Navigating the Community: Users can submit their own posts for VMware employees and advocates to share by clicking the “Submit a Post” button in the upper-left corner of the homepage.
The “Showcase” will appear at the top of the screen, offering the top performing community content.

Subm it t ing a Post : To submit your own post for approval, click the “Submit a Post” button in the upper-left corner of the homepage, and you will be prompted to enter a link. Members have the option to paste a URL and have the post information imported, but you will be able to customize the post title, description, tags, internal note, and image afterwards.
Use the Menu Sidebar to view leaderboards, update your account settings, view messages & notifications, and access guides & policies.
Adding an image or thumbnail will ensure maximum member engagement. If you have the ability edit an image, please set the image size to 620px x 420px for optimum use of the promotion area.
Once the required fields are filled, click the “Submit” button just below to submit your post to the tool managers for approval.
There is also a Search field to search content by keywords.

You can share content with your own social networks by clicking the blue “Share” button on any piece of content. Each time you share a piece of content you are awarded points.
