VNAA Welcomes New Board Members VNAA membership approves six new Board members at 2018 National Leadership Conference The Visiting Nurse Associations of America (VNAA) today announced that Carole Fisher, Nathan Adelson Hospice; Melanie Morris, Advanced Home Care; Kathleen Peirce, VNA of Care New England; Lynda Tanner, Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Santa Barbara; Laura Page-Grefinger, Quality in Real Time (QIRT); and Shari Dodd of Medtronic, have been named to the VNAA Board of Directors. VNAA membership voted to appoint the six new Board members at the annual National Leadership Conference in Washington, DC. “VNAA enthusiastically welcomes our new Board members, who come from a variety of backgrounds within the home-based care field,” said Norene Mostkoff, Chair of VNAA's Board of Directors. “Their diverse range of experience will result in robust representation for VNAA’s nonprofit members.” Carole Fisher is the President and CEO of Nathan Adelson Hospice (NAH) in Nevada, as well as a board member and adjunct faculty member of The Thayer Institute. Prior to her role at NAH, she served as the Executive Director for Southwest Medical Associates. Fisher joins the Board as an affiliate member. Melanie Morris, RN, MSN, MBA, is the Vice President of Advanced Home Care in North Carolina and serves on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Association of Home and Hospice Care. A seasoned home care leader, Morris is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has previously served on the Technical Expert Panel for the Home Health Prospective Payment System. Morris joins the Board as an affiliate member. Kathleen Peirce is the Vice President of Clinical Operations, Chief Nursing Officer, and Executive Director of VNA of Care New England in Rhode Island. She is an accomplished and experienced nurse leader, serving previously as Chief Operating Officer of Hartford HealthCare and Masonicare Home Health and Hospice in Connecticut. Peirce joins the Board as an affiliate member. Lynda Tanner, RN, MSN, is the President and CEO of Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Santa Barbara. She has more than 30 years of experience in home health care, including roles as a consultant and surveyor for the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Tanner also previously served as the Chief Clinical Executive at Sutter VNA and Hospice in California. Tanner joins the Board as an affiliate member.

Laura Page-Grefinger and Shari Dodd join the VNAA Board of Directors as at-large members. Page-Grefinger has more than 30 years of experience in health care, serving as a nurse with a home care agency in New York before joining QIRT. Dodd previously worked at the World Health Organization and Johnson & Johnson before joining Medtronic.
