Stabilisa(on  implementors   mee(ng  (18Mar)   •  Variety  of  stakeholders  (UN,  INGO,  LNGO,   SISSAF/GoL)  par(cipated   •  Open  discussion  covering:     –  progress,  planning,  standards,  baseline  data,   approvals,  ins(tu(onal  support,  etc.   –  a  diverse  range  of  projects  for  water,  wastewater,   solid  waste  in  a  range  of  contexts  from  Informal   SeMlements  to  Pales(nian  Camps  to  Ci(es  and   rural  areas.    

Outcomes  of  mee(ng:   •  Key  themes:  

–  Suppor(ng  development  and  sharing  of  beMer  baseline   informa(on   –  Sustainability  of  interven(ons/projects  (cost  recovery,   etc.)   –  Treatment  of  wastewater(do/don’t?,  how  to  do  beMer)   –  Approach/technical  standards  for  different  types  of  work    

•  Way  forward:  

–  Agreed  to  form  technical  groups;  one  each  for  water,   wastewater  and  solid  waste   –  Groups  to  address  key  themes  or  issues  relevant  to  each   sub-­‐sector   –  Groups  to  be  a  forum  for  various  stakeholders   (Government,  humanitarian/stabilisa(on/development   agencies,  private  industry,  etc.)    

Evic(ons  Update   •  Bekaa  20  new  informal  sites  set  up  during  the  past  3  weeks.   •  Mainly  due  to  LAF  evic(on  from  their  original  sites  located   nearby  military  installa(on  or  check  points.       •  Coordina(ng  with  partners  for  need  assessment  and   response.       •  Shelter  repairing  kit  distribu(ons  are  ongoing   •  WASH  needs  are  also  being  iden(fied     •  Challenges  remain  whether  concerned  municipality/LAF  will   allow  these  sites  to  be  established  permanently  or  subject  to   further  evic(on.
