RADIOGRAPHY CURRICULUM, ASSOCIATE IN APPLIED SCIENCE DEGREE AGREEMENT BETWEEN WASHTENA W COMMUNITY COLLEGE AND MONROE COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE
This curriculum agreement between Monroe County Community College, 1555 Raisinville Rd. Monroe, Michigan (hereinafter referred to as "MCCC") and Washtenaw Community College, 4800 E. Huron River Dr., Ann Arbor, Michigan (hereinafter referred to as "WCC") will go into effect January 1,2009.
WHEREAS, both colleges desire to make available a Radiography program to their students, and WHEREAS, WCC is a state licensed and NCA approved Community College, and WHEREAS, WCC does provide a Radiography program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology, and WHEREAS, both colleges desire to provide educational services to their students, and WHEREAS, both colleges recognize the community and professional need for Radiographers,
Now, therefore, for and in consideration of the premises and the mutual covenants and agreement herein contained, the parties hereto agree as follows:
MCCC 1. Will screen all interested applicants in their service area through their admission office. 2. Refer qualified candidates to WCC for final selection and program orientation. 3. WCC 1. Will accept the number ofMCCC students that the Joint Review committee on Education in Radiologic Technology recommends for Monroe Mercy Memorial Hospital Clinical Education Center or other clinical education centers in MCCC's service area that are affiliated with WCC not to exceed ten (10) students. Provide radiography theory courses for MCCC student, for a total of 54 credits. 2. Accept all satisfactorily earned (2.00 GPA or equivalent) credits taken both at MCCC and at WCC. 3. Award the Associate in Applied Science degree to all MCCC students who complete the requirements for the degree. 4. Provide over-all supervision by the Department Chair/Program Director, and Dean of Health and Applied Technologies. 5. Provide clinical supervision 6. TERMINATION
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time by notice given to the other party in writing at least one year prior to the effective date of such termination; provided, however, that MCCC students enrolled at WCC at the time ofthe notice are allowed to finish the entire program even if the student(s) has/have more than one year (but not to exceed two years) left in the program. This agreement will be reviewed and revised as necessary but shall remain in effect until terminated as specified by the termination clause of the agreement. This agreement is binding on all successors and assigns of MCCC and wcc. f~
