Water Watch Bug Dial

Overview Use the Bug Dials to explore freshwater invertebrates in our streams and ponds! There are two Bug Dials you can make. One is about aquatic insects (animals with six legs) and the second one is about other aquatic invertebrates. Invertebrates are animals with no backbone.) Instructions 1.Cut out Bug Dial parts Cut out the two circles labelled “Side 1” (one large circle and one small circle). Cut out the empty triangular space in the small circle. 2. Assemble the Bug Dials Place the small one over the top of the large one, matching the centers. Use a paper fastener to join the two together. Now you are ready to find out about some aquatic insects. Simply turn the small circle so that the triangular space is over the insect you wish to read about! Cut out the remaining two circles and join them together in the same manner. Now youc an read about some other aquatic invertebrates.

How to make your Bug Dial Cut out dials on side 1 & 2. Use a paper fastener to attach small dials to larger ones. Turn small dials to find out about the different creatures.
