We can also help you: • simplify the jargon, the theory and the policy • clarify which tools and techniques work best in which circumstances • innovate with new ideas and approaches And support you in the following ways: • We can brief commissioners and decision makers • We can train and upskill teams with practical tools • We can assist as an advisor or coach to develop strategies and new ideas • We can deliver feet on the ground for direct participation across services or within communities

What Our Clients Say [All In] were flexible, willing and able to change their approach as emerging themes, challenges and needs came to light. The team remained open to suggestions from their partners and always maintained an asset based approach to their work. It was refreshing to work with a team with a community development focus – able to see people in their own environments rather than solely as patients or users of services. At the end of the consultation, the team produced a report which was accurate, representative and easy to read – and meant something to local people. Becs Barker, Carr Gomm

We found everyone on the All In team to be extremely knowledgeable and professional with a wide range of skills and experiences that greatly assisted us in our consultation. They were very prompt at getting back to any queries and all updates and reports we requested were produced quickly and professionally. David Ritchie, NHS Highland [All In] continues to be a key partner, taking a lead role in community consultations focused on identifying residents’ views and aspirations on a number of key topics and issues, utilising a range of methodologies. A particular focus has been engaging school children and young people in the process and All In were instrumental in encouraging participation. Pat Boyce, Glasgow Community Planning Partnership

Martina Johnston Gray

• does coproduction mean to you and All In? Q What • Peter Anderson • A Coproduction is recognising that everyone has an equal and valuable say in decisions that affect them and their communities. People who have life and local experience have unique insights and skills; by working alongside each other we can find creative, efficient solutions to the challenges we all face.

Well-versed on participation theory, David works with organisations of all sizes from community charities to the NHS and Scottish Government. David sits on the European advisory group on participation and is the coordinator of SHIEN, a national network focused on the involvement of multiply excluded groups. • Q What impact do you think participation can have? • A Meaningful participation has dramatic benefits for the organisation or partnership who is facilitating it. And even more so for those participating - improved engagement, increased confidence, developed employability skills and better health and wellbeing outcomes to name a few.

David Kidd Pauline has a passion to make learning accessible for all and has delivered learning in the widest variety of settings from prisons to homeless day centres to universities. Pauline co-created and currently manages a successful community-based learning partnership for people resettling in new tenancies. • Q What do you see as the main benefit of engaging people in your work?

Pauline McColgan

• A I’ve learned from experience that there is nobody better to motivate people to get involved than those that have already taken part. They can describe the texture of the experience and sell the benefits in words that people can relate to, from taking the first step to moving on to new opportunities.
