Windy Conditions Across Region Today Peak winds expected this afternoon Current Hazards and Forecast Wind Gusts

When Will Winds Start? Wind gusts will increase quickly early this morning as a cold front pushes east across the area. Peak wind gusts are expected this afternoon.

How Strong? Wind gusts of 35 to 45 mph can be expected with the passage of this cold front. Scattered showers, and a few storms, will also be possible this morning and early afternoon, with localized gusts to 50 mph possible. Downed tree limbs and sporadic power outages can be expected with wind gusts of this magnitude. Loose objects will also be blown around easily.
