Why integrate Acrobat with Oracle WebCenter? Consider the amount of effort required to make a quick update to a PDF document stored in Oracle WebCenter: 1. Launch up a web browser and type in login credentials:

2. Bring up a search form and populate search criteria:

6. Open in Acrobat, make changes and check it back in:

Elmininate These Records, Compliance and Data Integrity Risks:

 Documents are no longer left on the file system after check in.  Check-In is completed with one click and revisions are no longer missing - even when users are interrupted and would otherwise forget to complete the check in.  Correct content contributed - when users are not forced to browse for a file to check in - they won't accidentally pick a wrong file. Save 30 min of peak productinve time per user per day: With manual process taking 1..3 minutes for every update:

 If users continue to work on the same document - each save requires a manual check out and check in through the browser.  With just 15 documents open by a typical user on an average day - 30 min is lost each and every day.

Solution Overview Plug-in provided by ECM Solutions allows Acrobat XI to seamlessly utilize content stored in Oracle WebCenter. Users can save personal metadata sets for quick check in with metadata

The Plug-in offers easy, intuitive and compact interface, without the need for excessive scrolling - and offers many usability features not present in Oracle MS Office Integration

User credentials (encrypted) are securely stored in the Registry, which eliminates the need to login. Hitting Ctrl-S in Acrobat or clicking the Save button on the toolbar transparently checks in new version of the document and allows users to continue their editing session. Working with managed documents is also integrated into File Open and Save Dialogs (See screenshot below)
