Legal requirements for a wedding in Cyprus The minimum legal age for marrying on the island is 18, with specific paperwork required to obtain a marriage license from Paralimni Municipality. Details of what you need to present can be found in the wedding section of the municipality’s website: www.paralimni.org.cy

Licences are set at a fixed fee by the Cyprus Government and are valid for three months. We also recommend that you arrive at least three working days before the ceremony to ensure that all the necessary paperwork is completed. The Wedding Registry Office of the municipality is open from Monday – Friday from 7.30 am – 3.00 pm and can be contacted on: +357 23744268 / +357 23819300 / [email protected]

Terms & Conditions

1. If the wedding couple are resident at the hotel, the ceremony venue is complimentary. For non-residents there will be a venue fee applicable. 2. The requested wedding ceremony date and time must be proposed firstly to the hotel. The booking will not be finalized until acceptance is confirmed by Paralimni Municipality of their availability at the said date and time. 3. You are requested to advise us of the provisional numbers in your party wherever possible – including yourselves – at the time of making a booking.

4. The booking is made with the understanding that the necessary documents required to marry in Cyprus are obtained by the couple and these originals are brought with them. Photocopies for the pre-registration meeting at the Town Hall are not acceptable. It is the responsibility of the wedding couple to adhere to this. 5. Payment for the function is to be settled once the function has ended or on the following day. This is unless alternative arrangements have been made with the hotel management. 6. The hotel reserves the right to substitute any product with that of an equivalent product in terms of value should the original product not be available. The hotel also reserves the right to relocate any function to accommodate final numbers, or as a result of adverse weather conditions.
