WEDDING RECEPTIONS Your wedding day is one of the most important and memorable days of your life. Here at Hillscourt we give you the attention to detail you deserve on this special day to ensure it is memorable for all the right reasons. Our experienced staff will guide you through the run-up to the reception and make the day itself flow seamlessly, enabling you to relax and enjoy the occasion. Hillscourt can cater for up to 85 guests for a formal wedding breakfast and for up to 200 for an evening reception. We have a minimum number policy of 50 adults for the afternoon and 100 for the evening for any Saturday between Easter and the end of September. These will be the minimum numbers charged for. Our wedding package includes the following: •

Please note that we cannot guarantee exclusive use of the entire centre as there may be some residents who will use the bar and public areas. You will of course enjoy sole use of the restaurant for the entire day.
The wedding breakfast package includes a choice of one starter, one main course, with one vegetarian alternative, and one dessert, plus tea or coffee and mints. Special dietary requirements can be catered for by prior arrangement. Also included in the package is a choice of arrival drink, two glasses of house wine and one glass of sparkling wine for a toast. A non-alcoholic alternative will be available if required. All expected guests must be catered for at both afternoon and evening functions. Children from 0-2yrs will not be charged (highchairs are available). Children from 312yrs will be charged at half the adult meal price. A £500.00 non-refundable deposit secures your event. The balance is due one week before the event and should be made by a guaranteed payment method (personal cheques cannot be accepted). We offer preferential rates for guests staying after a wedding or function. En-suite accommodation and full English breakfast is charged at £49.50 per person in a single room and £69.50 per double or family room. Children sharing with adults will be charged £10.00 to cover their breakfast and accommodation. There is an additional cost for entertainment, which Hillscourt can arrange for you if required. Our in-house DJ can be booked at a cost of £275.00. Unfortunately, firework displays are not permitted due to residential restrictions. All prices quoted in this literature are valid from 1 January 2017 until 31 December 2017 and include VAT at the prevailing rate. Rates for 2018 will be available by July 2017.

CIVIL CEREMONIES Here at Hillscourt we have several suitable rooms in which to hold your civil ceremony. This means that we can cater for a small intimate group or a large congregation of up to a maximum of 100 guests depending upon your individual requirements. Each room can be laid out with a centre aisle so the bride can be escorted into the room. Your guests will be seated before the ceremony begins. You may organise your own ushers if you wish. Food or drink will not be allowed in the room. There is the facility for music of your choice to be played. This is usually for the bride’s arrival, signing of the register and the bride and groom’s departure. Any music played must be secular in nature, with no religious content. Our civil ceremony package includes the following: • Use of a suitable size ceremony room. • Pre-ceremony consultations with our experienced staff. • Room for the bride if required. • Fresh floral displays. • Photographer access. Once a date has been reserved you will need to contact the registrar; this is your responsibility. The fees for the ceremony are paid direct to Worcestershire Registration Service. The registrar will arrive at the centre approximately 45 minutes before the ceremony. Both the bride and groom will need to be seen separately by the registrar before the ceremony can commence. The content of each ceremony must be agreed by the registrar. There will be a room-hire charge of £500.00 for civil ceremonies. This will be payable as a non-refundable deposit paid at the time of booking, in addition to the deposit for the reception. All prices quoted in this literature are valid from 1 January 2017 until 31 December 2017 and include VAT at the current rate. Rates for 2018 will be available by July 2017.

HOW TO FIND US BY CAR FROM BIRMINGHAM Leave city on A38 (Bromsgrove) to Longbridge island and travel straight on to Rednal. At Rednal island take right turn up Rose Hill. Hillscourt is approximately a quarter of a mile uphill on right. FROM JUNCTION 1, M42 MOTORWAY (Westbound only) Leave M42 junction 1 and take the filter road to roundabout. Keep right and take the B4096, signposted Rednal. Follow road for approximately two miles until you are going downhill. Hillscourt is on left next to sign for right-hand bend and opposite postbox. FROM JUNCTION 4, M5 MOTORWAY Leave M5 junction 4, take A38 South (Bromsgrove). Take first left onto Lydiate Ash Road. There is an offset crossroads after 200 yards. Go across and travel approximately one mile to junction with B4096. Turn left uphill then downhill. Hillscourt entrance is next to sign for right-hand bend and opposite postbox. BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT 1. By Rail – When arriving at New Street, go to platform 10b (check departure boards first) and take train to Longbridge. On arrival at Longbridge, use public telephone situated in station to call a taxi. Travelling time in taxi to Hillscourt is approximately five minutes. Taxis can be ordered on 0800 7835 789 (freephone). 2. By Bus – Take the number 98 bus from the city centre (outside Birmingham New Street station) to the Rednal terminus. On alighting from the bus at the Rednal terminus, walk up the road to the nearby pedestrian crossing. After crossing the road, proceed down the hill to the roundabout. The Oak Tree public house should then be seen on your left; bear right up Rose Hill past the Rose and Crown Hotel, and Hillscourt is approximately a quarter of a mile up the hill on your right. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE On entering Hillscourt grounds, stop at the security barrier and press button. Drivers should take the right fork and park in the visitors’ car park. Parking spaces are available for people with disabilities, so please notify receptionist when pressing button. TERMS AND CONDITIONS All bookings made at Hillscourt will be deemed to be subject to the conditions stipulated below, which will prevail over any conditions referred to by the client. 1. CONFIRMATION All bookings will be treated as provisional until such time as Hillscourt receives a deposit from the client. This deposit is non-refundable. 2. NUMBERS TO BE CHARGED The client must inform the centre 14 days prior to the event of the anticipated number of guests attending. At this point a pro-forma invoice will be raised, which must be settled by a guaranteed payment method no less than 7 days prior to the event taking place. Hillscourt shall be under no obligation to accept any decrease in the confirmed numbers but any increase in numbers will be invoiced after the event. 3. CANCELLATION BY THE CLIENT If the Client cancels an event, the following charges will be due: Notice of Cancellation Less than 6 months’ notice Less than 3 months’ notice Less than 1 month’s notice

Hillscourt will endeavour to re-let the allotted space, including accommodation if applicable, and a reduction will be made if Hillscourt is successful in re-letting part or all of the allotted space. Hillscourt is under no obligation to undertake any specific marketing in an effort to re-let the allocated space. Any deposits paid are non-refundable. 4. CREDIT FACILITIES Event organisers will be responsible for their accounts and any unpaid accounts of individuals within their party. 5. 6. CANCELLATION BY HILLSCOURT Hillscourt reserves the right to cancel the booking in the event that: a) Hillscourt or any part of it is closed due to fire, a dispute with employees, alteration, decoration, by order of any public authority or as a result of any circumstance beyond the reasonable control of Hillscourt; b) the customer becomes insolvent or enters into liquidation, administration or receivership; c) the customer is more than 30 days in arrears with payment to Hillscourt; d) it might prejudice the reputation of the centre and, in such an event, Hillscourt’s only liability will be the refund of any deposit paid in connection with the cancelled booking (when a refund will be at the discretion of Hillscourt if the cancellation was made under (b), (c) or (d) above). 7. GENERAL LIABILITY Hillscourt shall be under no liability to the customer for any loss and/or expense (including loss of profit) suffered by the client arising out of a failure by Hillscourt to provide the services in accordance with these items and conditions, and under no circumstances shall the liability of Hillscourt exceed the price of the function. Hillscourt accepts no liability for items lost, stolen or damaged whilst on the premises unless deposited with Reception for safekeeping. 8. DAMAGE The client shall indemnify Hillscourt in respect of any and all damage caused by the client or any of the client’s guests or persons attending, whether in rooms reserved or any other part of the centre. 9. FOOD SAFETY Buffets that are served in an ambient temperature will only be left out for a maximum of 90 minutes, after which time any food left will be disposed of. Hillscourt will not allow clients to remove leftover food items from buffets. This is on health and safety grounds and is in line with our policy on the safe disposal of excess food. 10. FINISHING TIMES Functions and conferences are required to finish at the time agreed when the booking is made. Extensions to such times shall not be possible unless agreed in advance with Hillscourt Management.
