THE €1 MILLION BUY-IN TOURNAMENT One Drop, the World Series of Poker and the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer are presenting the third edition of The Big One for One Drop tournament — this time as an invitational — with a €1 million buy-in, breaking it is own record established in 2012 with the most significant charity initiative in poker history. The tournament will award a Platinum bracelet designed by famed watchmaker Richard Mille. The first European edition of the tournament, which will be televised around the world, will take the poker experience to the next level in one of the most prestigious and spectacular settings. A Roster of the world’s most affluent philanthropists, business executives, and satellite qualifiers are expected to participate in this three-day tournament, which will begin October 14, 2016.

THE TOURNAMENT DETAILS EVENT ENTRY ■

The entry fee for each player is €1 million.

Each participant will be required to make a €50,000 deposit to reserve his or her spot.

Transfer of the final funds is to be initiated no less than 10 days before the event AND in compliance to the European Transfer of Funds Regulation. 11,11% of the tournament buy-in will be donated to One Drop, with the remaining €888,889 going towards the prize pool. 100% of the proceeds go directly to One Drop’s water-access projects.

MEET WITH A PROFESSIONAL COACH Every player will have the opportunity to have a professional poker player as a coach during the event. The pairing of the player and his coach will happen during the Big One Lunch, on October 14, right before the shuffle up and deal. In exchange of this incredible opportunity, the player will pay the coach 2,5% of the portion of his winnings above the buy-in amount paid. Of course, the player and the coach will have the chance to speak between hands, during breaks and at specific moments in private set up.
