UNHCR and Operational Partners. Actual capacity is calculated as the subtraction of current places minus 13.5% which is this week’s estimated average natural loss for mainland and 5% for islands. Natural loss is the number of places that cannot currently be used because of damages/repairs, protection issues, family size, etc. The formula applies to all type of accommodation. Actual capacity is a close estimate of available places to be used as reference. 3 Occupancy rate is calculated as the percentage of current population over actual capacity. 4 Agia Eleni facility is included in the UNHCR Buildings section. There are also 53 available places in Agia Eleni facility. 5 NRC only reports places that are available for immediate occupancy and does not include units that are reserved, under preparation or extra places in occupied units. 6 The additional 376 places provided by UNHCR in hotels in the islands have been set up as an interim winterization solution. The actual available capacity is estimated to be at 546 places (mainland: 335 / islands: 211). As of today 274 places have been reserved for planned transfers. Considering an average natural loss (10-15%) the estimated remaining available places are 236 (mainland: 90 / islands: 146) 2
