WEEKLY REPORT STOCK MARKET REPORT FOR MAY 8TH, 2015 EQUITIES A turnover of 1.584 billion shares worth N20.151 billion in 23,279 deals were traded this week by investors on the floor of The Exchange in contrast to a total of 1.169 billion shares valued at N11.961 billion that exchanged hands last week in 17,769 deals. The Financial Services Industry (measured by volume) led the activity chart with 1.088 billion shares valued at N8.991 billion traded in 13,220 deals; thus contributing 68.66% and 44.62% to the total equity turnover volume and value respectively. The Conglomerates Industry followed with a turnover of 227.840 million shares worth N920.617 million in 1,082 deals. The third place was occupied by the Consumer Goods Industry with 121.859 million shares worth N7.703 billion in 4,123 deals. Trading in the Top Three Equities namely- United Bank for Africa Plc, Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc, and Access Bank Plc, (measured by volume) accounted for 678.964 million shares worth N3.247 billion in 2,943 deals, contributing 42.85% and 16.11% to the total equity turnover volume and value respectively. INDEX MOVEMENT The NSE All-Share Index and Market Capitalization depreciated by 0.92% to close on Friday at 34,388.21 and N11.678 trillion. UNITY BANK PLC: Appointment of an Executive Director - Unity Bank Plc (‘’the Bank’’) notified The Nigerian Stock Exchange that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has approved the appointment of Mrs. Tomi Somefun as an Executive Director and member of its Board. Mrs. Tomi Somefun is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and graduated from the Obafemi Awolowo University (formerly University of Ife) in 1981 with a Bachelor of Education in English Language. She began her professional career with KPMG as a Senior Audit Assistant from 1982 – 1986 before joining Arthur Andersen & Co in 1986 to 1989 as an Audit Senior. She also worked with Ventures & Trusts as an Associate between 1989 -1992. Between 1992 and 1995, Mrs. Somefun worked with Credit Bank Ltd before moving to UBA Trustees Ltd in 1996. She joined United Bank for Africa Plc in 2003 as an Assistant General Manager and became the Managing Director of UBA Capital & Trust Ltd from 2004 to 2005 and the founding Managing Director/CEO of UBA Pensions Custodian Ltd from 2005 to 2014. Mrs. Somefu has attended several Executive Training and Advanced Managing Programs both within and outside Nigeria including INSEAD Fontainebleau, France, EUROMNOEY training programmes, Harvard Business School and Global Custody Conference, UK.

WAPIC INSURANCE PLC: Appointment of Deputy Managing Director - Wapic Insurance Plc notified The Nigerian Stock Exchange (‘’NSE’’) that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on 23 March 2015 approved the appointment of Mr. Bode Ojeniyi as Deputy Managing Director with immediate effect. Mr. Bode Ojeniyi holds a BSc. and MSc. in Agric. Economics from the University of Ibadan. He also has an MBA in Strategic Management as well as in Finance from Ogun State University. A former employee of Access Bank Plc, Mr. Ojeniyi has also worked in Ecobank Plc rising to the position of Senior Manager/Head Mortgages & Consumer Finance (Retail Banking) - December 2005 to August 2007. Until this appointment, Mr. Bode Ojeniyi was the Executive Director in charge of Institutional Clients Strategic Business Unit in Wapic Insurance Plc, a position he has held since 16 January 2014.
