How to Study the Bible We are offering a training with Ange Miracle on how to study the Bible using an inductive method TODAY at 4:00PM in the fellowship hall. This training will be appropriate for anyone interested, but especially for those leading Life Groups or participating in D-Groups.

Prayer Service - Deacon’s/Business Meeting enior The Deacon’s Meeting will be held Sunday, August 27 at 5:00PM. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:00PM followed by a Business Meeting at 6:30PM. The monthly reports are located in the foyer by the water fountain. WMU Fall RALLY The WMU Fall RALLY will be held at Willow Grove Baptist Church Tuesday, September 12. We will be hearing about a great ministry (GAP - God’s Appalachian Partnership, Inc.) going on in Eastern Kentucky at McDowell. The speaker will be Kathy Henson, Director of Distribution. The refreshments start at 6:00PM and the meeting at 6:30PM. The church van will leave at 5:15PM. Everyone is invited. Attention Ladies We are planning a Bible class. We will be learning how to use the internet to find Bible commentaries and how to do a word study. We will learn a lot of helpful tools for your personal, at-home Bible Study. If this is something you would be interested in, please sign up on the bulletin board by the water fountain.

Licensing Service - Postponed The licensing service for Kevin Coots scheduled for today has been postponed. NO evening service.

Attention The Women's Committee is delivering school supplies to the Bethany House in Somerset. This is an abuse shelter for women and children. They have absolutely no school supplies. We are trying to get the basics for them. We could use your help in the form of monetary donations. Please mark your checks for the “Women's Committee” and that money will go for school supplies. Thank you for blessing these families.

Senior Luncheon The Senior Potluck will be held Wednesday, August 16 at 11:30AM. We will be watching the movie, “The North Avenue Irregulars” following the meal.

Lost and Found Please check by the bulletin boards upstairs for any lost items. Also, please pick up any dishes left in the kitchen. Any items not claimed before September will be donated.

Super Saturday ’17 The KBC is hosting a training for all ministries Saturday, August 19 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Lexington from 8:30AM - 12:30PM. PVBC will cover the attendance fee. Please sign up on the front sanctuary wall if you plan to attend.

Sympathy We extend Christian sympathy to Larry Childers and his family upon the death of his sister, Gloria Jean Sims.

Thank You - Fellowship We will be having a fellowship in honor of Kristina Smith Sunday, August 20 following the 11:00AM service. The church will provide chicken strips, potato wedges, and drinks. Please bring finger-foods (ex: vegetable trays, wraps, smokies, meatballs, etc.) and desserts. Please take the food to the shelter prior to Sunday School. A gift table will be set up. Thank you for all your service! F260 Bible Reading Plan September 10 - Sermon Series “From Cover, To Cover”; passages following the F-260. Christmas Backpacks WMU is collecting donations through August 27 to fill backpacks for needy children. Each backpack costs about $40. You may place your check (memo: Christmas Backpack) in the offering or cash in a red envelope from the office.
