Celebration Choir The Celebration Choir is practicing for the Christmas musical each Sunday at 5:00PM. Brother Jerry Hampton will be leading the choir. The Calvary Heirs The Calvary Heirs will be in concert at Pleasant View Baptist Church TODAY at 6:30PM. A love offering will be taken. CDs will also be available for purchase. Everyone is invited to join us for a time of worship. Eliza Broadus Offering Thank you for supporting State Missions by giving to the Eliza Broadus Offering. Our church goal is $6,500. You may still give if you have not had an opportunity to do so; envelopes are located in the back of the pews for your convenience. Senior Luncheon The Senior Luncheon will be held Wednesday, October 18 at 11:30AM in the fellowship hall. It is potluck style. Please bring a side or dessert. Come and enjoy a good time of food and fellowship. Ladies, Mark Your Calendars! Our 4th Annual Mug Exchange will be held October 19 at 6PM in the fellowship hall. You need to bring a mug filled with goodies and you will take home a fun mug. Soups and sandwiches will be provided. We always have such a good time and we hope you will join us! WMU - Christ Followers The next meeting will be Monday, October 30 at church beginning at 6:30PM. We will have an Operation Christmas Child Shoebox packing party during this time. Everyone is invited! IT’S OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD SHOEBOX TIME! We are packing shoebox gifts for Operation Christmas Child with Samaritan’s Purse! This ministry makes it possible for children around the world to receive a shoebox gift and hear the good news of Jesus. You may pick-up shoeboxes and guideline brochures (including label) in the sanctuary. Our OCC Shoebox Dedication service will be Sunday, November 12 at 6:00PM. Adoption Fund Several people have expressed their desire to contribute to the adoption fund of Jason and Erin Singleton, Keith and Mary Singleton’s son and daughter-in-law as they adopt a child from China. If you would like to give toward this adoption you can write a check payable to PVBC with the memo: Adoption Fund. Thank you! Sympathy We extend Christian sympathy to the family of Charles Folger. He was a member here at Pleasant View. He passed away October 6, 2017.
