LeanTMS BRINGS TRANSPARENCY & CENTRAL CONTROL TO WHOLESALE ®

By centralizing control over transportation management, wholesalers and distributors are better positioned to manage the flow of orders into and out of their facilities and are better able to extract savings while improving resource use. Connecting suppliers, carriers, and warehouses with SaaS TMS platform provides transparency and supports data-driven engagement with all partners, ensuring negotiated cost and service expectations are delivered. Shippers know not only the location of their shipments but also what inventory is in transit. With accessibility across all business partners and offices, inventory can be reduced to order level. WebSettle® automates electronic settlement, reducing audit and clerical requirement. 3

Our legacy system was capable of the transaction side of the business but could not provide us with any automation or ‘business smarts’ around decision making. Thanks to LeanTMS®, we have real-time metrics providing visibility into performance. Every transaction is invoiced and settled through LeanTMS automatically, without paper, which reduces discrepancies.” ACE Director of Logistics 5

EXPERTISE A privately held company provides innovative solutions for its 50+ food industry member-owners, typically retail grocery chains in addition to wholesale and food service companies. The company determined that if it could internally manage twice the freight, it would save member-owners $500,000 annually. To do this, the organization needed to address several issues including a limited carrier base, freight rate increases, and a cumbersome transportation management system that lacked visibility and metrics reporting. The company selected LeanTMS to better manage freight in-house. LeanTMS builds all shipments for the day, tenders loads to carriers and releases orders to the warehouses to alert staff of the upcoming workload. LeanTMS greatly improved efficiency of the transportation team: • • • •

Increased Efficiency: LeanTMS automates load building to reduce transportation team involvement by 40% Improved Scalability of Business With the Same Resources: LeanTMS handles freight increases with the same resources Developed Real-Time Metrics: LeanTMS provides an “anytime” snapshot of company and supplier performance Provides Visibility and Enhance Collaboration: All partners have instant access to the system for real-time visibility and collaboration with all parties
