Why I love scuba My love of scuba started, because of many reasons – my love of water and swimming, my family holidays spent scouring the waters off the coast of Italy and Croatia, for sea urchin shells, and a cluster of random chances that were available to me. At the age of 17, after years of spending every spare minute in the local pools near my home, I noticed a new bunch of swimmers, they were scuba divers from the local British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) that was it I was hooked. I bought all the gear I needed without really knowing what I was getting into! I learnt everything I could about diving – simulating rescue scenarios, mastering the equipment and learning the theory with the group. After several failed attempts of diving in open water in England I found my love of diving in warmer climates. I happened to go on holiday in the Maldives and in the travel company sales meeting I found the answer to my dreams – the scuba diving school was just 3 minutes’ walk away! I passed my PADI Open Water Diver in just 3 days and I was hooked. My luck continued, I found Bob, we been together for 12 years now, he not only shares my passion for property, but also a love of scuba too. We spend every holiday in the water, improving our photography skills, enjoying new and challenging dives and encounters with the most incredible animals. Maybe it was chance or it may have been in my genes - I know one thing, I am destined to scuba dive and enjoy the warm waters of the world’s seas and oceans.
