Try Cross-Country Skiing and Snowshoeing Come play in the snow with our expert Outdoor Discovery Schools® instructors. They’ll fit you with the right gear and provide helpful tips to get you started, then send you off on the trails! All gear, equipment and instruction will be provided. Cross-Country skiing, Ages 8+; Snowshoeing, Ages 2+.

Ice Fishing Demonstration Join our fishing experts on the ice to learn about the latest gear and to see if the fish are biting.

Demo the Latest Gear from Top Manufacturers Test snowshoes from Tubbs®, Atlas® and MSR. Also try out a selection of skate, classic, touring and backcountry Nordic skis from Rossignol®, Fischer and Atomic and poles from Swix.

Kids’ Snow Carving Kids will have fun creating snow sculptures with the guidance of professional carvers from Sub Zero Ice Carvings.

Sledding Hill Walk out to our sledding hill with family and friends and hop onto our tube sleds. Woo-Hoo! Meet Sled Dogs Meet local sled dogs from Blockhouse Pursuits Dogsled Adventures. You’ll learn how the teams are assembled and how the dogs are harnessed.

Winter Camping Demonstration We’ll have a fully assembled winter campsite you can explore and learn about all the essential gear needed for a fun and successful outing.

Geocaching Scavenger Hunt Learn to use a GPS to discover hidden caches in this popular game that combines modern technology with outdoor fun. Horse-Drawn Sleigh Rides Enjoy an old-fashioned sleigh ride through the snowy fields at our Winter Sports Center. Free Hot Cocoa and Music Around the Campfire When you’ve had your fill of fun on the snow, warm up with a toasty cup of hot cocoa around our campfire and enjoy music by local artist, Rob Duquette.

* Appropriate winter apparel and footwear are strongly recommended for all activities. ** Shuttle transportation is required to and from our Bike, Boat and Ski Store and the L.L.Bean Winter Sports Center. Kids under 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Weather and conditions permitting. Sorry, dogs are not permitted at this event.
