Woongarrah FC 2017 U10 & U11 Mini-Roos Gala Day

   

 

TEAM INFORMATION Woongarrah Football Club welcomes you to participate in our 2017 U10 & U11 Gala Day. This event is created for the player’s enjoyment and will emphasis football values of FUN, SAFETY, FAIR PLAY, RESPECT, SPORTSMANSHIP and CAMARADERIE. The Gala Day is open to ALL clubs and each club may enter as many teams as it would like. Each team shall consist of a maximum of 13 players. We anticipate a maximum of 28 teams, which will be divided into appropriate graded groups. All players will receive a participation memento on the day. Date:

Sunday 25th June, 2017

Games:

6 games per team A Manager or Coach MUST report to the “Official’s Area” (SORENSEN Marquee) by 7:30am to obtain their participation clearance wristbands and for a quick briefing. First round kicks off at 8am.

Hamlyn Terrace Sporting Complex Minnesota Road, Hamlyn Terrace

Rules:

ALDI Mini Roos National Playing Formats & Rules except 10 min halves – NO half time.

Participants: Only FFA Registered Club Players permitted to play Nominations: Open NOW – Close 4th June, 2017 or when maximum teams received with payment.

Team Nomination: To nominate a team, please visit our club website or click on the registration link below. https://goo.gl/4N7uIA An ‘Acceptance Letter’ will be emailed to the Team Manager to confirm your team’s entry after the closing date. The Draw The draw for the day will be completed 7 days prior to the event and emailed out to the Team Manager. Referees: WWFC Junior Cadet Referees will facilitate the games. All Referees decisions are FINAL. Players, coaches, managers and supporters who bring the game into disrepute, use foul or abusive language or aggressive violent behaviour will be expelled from the gala day by the official committee and will be reported to front the CCF judiciary for further action. All Codes of Conduct must be adhered to by everyone involved in your team. Players, coaches, managers and supporters will come under the same rulings as normal non-comp games with referees having the right to cease the playing of any game if un-sportsmanship behaviour is displayed. Inclement Weather: In the event of ‘Wet Weather’ – please visit our club website by 6:00am of the morning of the event. www.woongarrahfc.com.au Parents & Supporters:  Parents are encouraged to take a step back and let the kids play by leaving sideline commentary to coaches. 

Parents are at no time allowed into the field of play and will have to stay outside the perimeter line.

Behaviour: FNSW, CCF and WWFC Code of conduct are applicable to all behaviour on the day. This is a fun day for the kids. Let’s control our emotions and appreciate the opportunity to watch our kids take part in their preferred game. We will not tolerate abuse of players, referees, spectators, Gala Day Officials or Canteen & BBQ helpers. Canteen & BBQ: A full canteen & BBQ menu will be available on the day, including a full Barista Style menu, hot food, cold drinks, confectionery and snacks. Please support our club on this day and be reminded that alcohol and glass bottles are not permitted on Council Grounds or at Junior Events. Visiting clubs will not be permitted to hold their own fund-raising or BBQ activities in or around Hamlyn Terrace Sporting Complex. This Gala Day is an ALCOHOL FREE ZONE and NO GLASS is to be brought to the oval. There is definitely NO SMOKING in or around the playing fields, canteen, BBQ or the official table. We appreciate your cooperation with this as we assure you of our best intentions and the well-being of children and those who do not smoke. We look forward to you and your club’s participation as we assure you of a football fun day for all.

Mini-Roos - Under 10 & 11 Rules Number of players: 9-a-side including a goal-keeper Maximum of four (4) substitutes

Field Size: 60m long x 40m wide

Ball Size: Size 4

Duration of games: 10 minute halves – No half-time break – change ends and continue playing Uniform: All teams must wear their club uniforms and bring along a set of bibs in case of a clash in colours. Substitute Bench: Only a maximum of 4 players and 2 officials including the coach and manager will be allowed on the bench. All players on the bench are to wear a bib. Substitutions: Substitutions can occur at any time without stopping the game. The substituted player has to be off the field before the new player goes on. However, GK changes can only be made at half-time or if injured play will stop. Goalkeeper: The goalkeeper is allowed to handle the ball anywhere in the penalty area. To restart play after a save or gathering the ball with their hands, the ball must be thrown or rolled from the hands or played from the ground with their feet. The goalkeeper is not allowed to kick or drop-kick the ball directly from their hands. Opponents must be at least 5 metres outside the penalty area and cannot move inside the 5 metre area until the ball is in play. The ball is in play once it moves out of the penalty area and touches a field player. An indirect free kick is awarded if the goalkeeper touches the ball with their hands after it has been deliberately kicked to them by a team mate. Ball crossing the touch line: Throw in - Player faces the field of play, has part of each foot on the ground either on or behind the touch line, uses both hands and delivers the ball from behind and over their head. The thrower must not touch the ball again until it has touched another player. Opponents must be at least 5 metres away from the ball until it is in play. The ball is in play once it enters the field of play. A goal cannot be scored directly from a throw in. Ball crossing the goal line after touching the defending team last: Corner kick - A player from the attacking team places the ball inside the corner arc nearest to the point where the ball crossed the line. Opponents must be at least 5 metres away from the ball until it is in play. The ball is in play when it is kicked and moves. A goal may be scored directly from a corner kick. Ball crossing the goal line after touching the attacking team last: Goal kick from anywhere within the penalty area. Opponents remain at least 5 metres outside the penalty area until the ball is in play. Game Leaders should not restart play until they are satisfied all opposition players are at least 5 metres outside the penalty area. The ball is in play once it is kicked directly out of the penalty area. Offside: Goals can be scored from the offside position. However, referees will direct players permanently standing in blatant offside positions to move into onside positions.

Fouls and misconduct Indirect free kicks are awarded for all acts of handball or fouls and misconduct. Opponents must be at least 5 metres away from the ball when the indirect free kick is taken.
