Coaching Level: Minimum Requirement: Senior Football Certificate Preferred Requirement: Senior Football Certificate General Position Description: Woongarrah Wildcats Football Club (WWFC) is an established club in the north end of Central Coast. WWFC are looking at engaging a 1st & Res Grade to take our ladies into the Central Coast Football SWL competition for 2018. We are looking for a coach that can work with Woongarrah FC Executive Committee to build a successful women's playing environment for 2018 and beyond. The 1st Grade Head Coach is primarily responsible for coordinating all aspects of WWFC 1st & Reserve Grade teams which is outlined below but not limited to. Responsibilities: To select a squad of players, To prepare and deliver a structured high performance training & development program focused around skills and fitness, for the squad, To maintain quality, expansion, development and safety, To identify, appoint and mentor Reserve Grade Coach in conjunction with WWFC Executive Committee, To identify, appoint and mentor an team manager in conjunction with WWFC Executive Committee, To attend after match functions at the nominated venue, and encourage players to attend also, Actively participate in scheduled meetings of the Club as well as any available coaching updates put on by the club and CCF, To share knowledge and provide input towards the Junior Player Development Program in conjunction with the Director of Coaching & Development, as required, To maintain individual player profiles and records including a register of game & training attendance, Woongarrah Wildcats Football Club – ABN 53 914 101 021
To set an example, set the standard and be a leader, Always act in a responsible and sportsperson like way at all games, in accordance with the Club & CCF’s Code of Conduct. Conduct a “Pre Season Briefing” including a discussion on the Behaviour Management Policy and the role of the MPO (Member Protection Officer). Be responsible for the behaviour of the players during game time. Refer any disputes to a Executive Committee Member. Act in a responsible fashion at all training sessions. Plan, run and/or participate in some junior development clinics as advised by the Director of Coaching & Development, when required, Register as a recognised Member of the Club, as per the Constitution. Attend ALL or ANY Coaching Courses put on by the Club. Be familiar with all information contained within the Coach & Managers Information Booklet. Be responsible for all Club equipment issued to the team. Commence training as soon as practical after grading procedures have ceased. Liaise with Team Manager about weekly rewards and match report information. Attend any scheduled meetings put on by the Club whenever possible. Experience:
Experience in coaching first & reserve grade players at a senior level, Demonstrated understanding of the needs of such players, Demonstrated the ability to build a team, Demonstrated ability to design, implement and monitor training and elite competition programs for such players, Knowledge and understanding of relevant sports science requirements and their application to football, Demonstrated understanding of the structure of Central Coast Football and their role as our governing body.
