JOB DESCRIPTION Communications Manager Parttime (20 hours/week)
Bradley Angle is seeking a parttime Communications Manager. Preferred candidates will possess strong personal connections to communities served by Bradley Angle, including domestic violence survivors, Black and African American communities, and/or LGBTQ communities. Position Summary The Communications Manager 1) develops and carries out the annual Communications Calendar, including monthly eNews, timely eBlasts, social media postings, website updates, and print collateral; and 2) provides support to fundraising and community engagement events throughout the year. The Communications Manager is part of a threeperson development team, which also includes a fulltime Director of Development and a halftime Grants Manager. The development team is also supported by 1) event management contracts with Swaim Strategies to produce GlamHer and the Purple Purse Lunch, 2) a parttime contract Event Manager responsible for FINDpdx, 3) contract graphic designers, 4) a fullservice print and mail relationship with Morel Ink, 5) a parttime assistant that works remotely to enter fundraising data and provide administrative assistance to the Development Director, and 6) three amazing event committees comprised of Board members and other volunteers.
General Responsibilities ● Steward Bradley Angle’s hopeful and survivoraffirming voice ● Utilize effective storytelling techniques when developing content across all communications channels ● Employ proven methodologies related to centering donors in communication devices ● Exercise bold creativity, good judgement, and attentiontodetail to help our messages stand out Primary Duties ● Develop and manage to a Strategic Communications Calendar ● Produce beautiful and compelling monthly eNewsletters that include organizational announcements, program updates, participant achievements, and donor acknowledgements using email marketing software ● Copywrite bimonthly impact postcards designed to thank donors and relay the impact of their gift; project manage the design with contract graphic designer

Write and produce clear and effective emails using email marketing software

Manage the annual production of the organizational impact report while inspiring creative thinking Achieve healthy flow of content for the blog and news sections of the organization’s website by 1) Encouraging and supporting staff and volunteer leaders to develop content, 2) Ghostwriting content on behalf of the Executive Director, and 3) Writing other pieces on the organization’s behalf Post relevant information and announcements across the organization’s social media platforms Prepare timely and relevant press releases and manage media files Project manage any necessary changes to organizational collateral, including agency brochures and flyers with contract graphic designer Monitor and keep sufficient inventory of organizational collateral and print materials

Additional Responsibilities ● Assist with dayof special event logistics and staffing, as needed ● Assist with recruitment and acceptance of inkind donations

Help meet the fundraising goals of the organization by telling people in your personal network about the amazing work of Bradley Angle and encouraging them to get involved as a donor and/or volunteer Additional duties as needed
Qualifications & Characteristics

Two years of experience in communications or marketing, preferably as a part of a nonprofit fundraising team Excellent writing and editing skills Strong skills and comfort with technology (including Google Apps, Wordpress, email marketing, Salesforce, and Adobe Creative Cloud) Keen attention to detail Strong work ethic Sense of humor Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfort working in a fastpaced environment; ability to meet deadlines Deep commitment to breaking cycles of domestic violence and poverty Experience with or understanding of work specific to domestic violence survivors, Black and African American communities, and/or LGBTQ communities
Compensation Package ● This is a parttime, nonexempt position. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required. ● The salary for this halftime position is $20,800. ● Benefits for this position include 100% employerpaid medical, dental, and vision insurance, five weeks of paid time off each year, two percent employer contribution to simple IRA (no match required) and eight weeks of paid parental leave in the case of a qualifying event. ● Bradley Angle is an infantfriendly and dogfriendly workplace.
