YEMEN’S FORGOTTEN CHILDREN #YemenCrisis The scale of suffering in Yemen is staggering. Nine months on, the conflict has left the Middle East’s poorest country in a state of freefall with 21.2 million people – or 82% of the population – now in need of humanitarian assistance, including almost 10 million children. Since March 2015, Save the Children has reached over 420,000 people in Yemen, including more than 235,000 children. We support health facilities and operate mobile health teams, provide targeted malnutrition treatment programmes, access to safe drinking water, food and unconditional cash distributions, psychosocial support to traumatised children and mine risk awareness training.
