CoChairs The primary duties of the CoChairs shall include, but not be limited to: ● Being the official spokespersons for the YJP; ● Promoting the Mission and Objectives of YJP; ● Providing leadership and overall direction of YJP; ● Fulfilling their individual obligations as set forth in the YJP Operating Guidelines; ● Establishing, in conjunction with the Executive Board, goals for YJP for the year; ● Executing the setforth goals; ● Appointing, as needed, a Committee to accomplish specific goals ● Informing the Advisory Board every three (3) months of YJP’s recent events, current activities, and planned events; and ● Leading YJP’s Executive Board meetings on a monthly basis Regional Coordinators The primary duties of the Regional Coordinator shall include, but not be limited to: ● Establishing a network of local contacts in at least each major Jain Center within their respective region. ● Reaching out to Jain Center Presidents, introducing themselves as the Regional Coordinator, and asking both how YJP can assist the Jain Center, and if the Jain Center is willing to support YJP’s efforts (this can include, for example, promoting events, allowing us to have a booth during Mahavir Jayanti, etc) ● If possible, the Regional Coordinator should meet with the Jain Center Executive Committee in person. ● Reaching out to any Local Representative (“LR”) and confirming their interested in helping support YJP ● Informing the team of LRs of their duties, goals, and responsibilities ● Managing and creating a team of LRs, ensuring they are meeting their goals and responsibilities. In the event an LR becomes unresponsive, it is the RC’s responsibility to complete that task. ● Maintaining regular contact with all Jain Center contacts, LRs, Youth Coordinators and/or Youth Committees, and working closely with them to collaborate on for events. ● Initiating and executing a variety of events (at least one (1) event per quarter minimum and at least one (1) Professional Development, Community Service, and Networking event each during the year) ● Actively following the protocol for event planning, this includes emailing the Communications Director about your event for Facebook, newsletter submission, understanding the local temple's deadlines for their newsletter, and following up after the event on event success. It also entails updating the Finance Director with funds gained. Finance Director The primary duties of the Director of Finance shall include, but not be limited to: ● Tracking and maintaining YJP’s finances (expenditures and revenue) in accordance to JAINA’s guidelines, including, but not limited to: ○ Monthly recurring payments; and ○ Budgets for regional retreats/national conventions ● Actively supporting the Regional Coordinators in planning events/regional retreats by (for example) reviewing contracts with the CoChairs, negotiating discounts with vendors (if applicable) and helping budget overall expenses (e.g., food, session materials, registration prices); ● Working with JAINA in issuing YJP’s checks to owed parties for items including retreat expenses; general expenses; and convention expenses.

Reimbursing Executive Board members for items including: approved travel expenses; approved retreat expenses; and approved general expenses. ● Delivering reports on the status of YJP’s finances to the CoChairs every Quarter. ● Seeking innovative ways to make YJP financially selfsufficient; ● Initiating and coordinating fundraising projects with Executive Board members and Local Representatives from various sanghs and regions; ● Creating and maintaining a list of fundraising projects for the year with specific goals and deadlines; ● Reviewing list(s) of previous fundraising projects to determine successes and suggests improvements; ● Creating and/or expanding on a consolidated YJP donor database; ● Locating Jain friendly organizations willing to partner at YJP’s events; ● Developing long term relationships with businesses and organizations that share Jain values; and ● Identifying areas of saving resources by utilizing JAINA’s nonprofit status. Public Relations Director The primary duties of the Director of Public Relations include, but not be limited to: ● Providing content with the website and working closely with the Technology Director to make sure it is properly and timely uploaded. ● Coordinate professional spotlight interviews by initiating contact with potential interviewees, performing the interview, and promoting the interview on various digital platforms. ● Develop LinkedIn strategy including relevant topics for discussion, job postings from businesses and increasing number of group members. ● Developing Facebook and Twitter strategies. ● Developing new ways to reach membership and initiatives to energize membership ● Working closely with the Regional Coordinators to create graphics and fliers to promotes events. ● Creating advertising materials for projects and activities, including following established brand guidelines ● Submitting content on behalf of YJP to Jain Digest (JAINA’s quarterly print magazine) and any other regional submissions. Communications Director The primary duties of the Director of Public Communications shall include, but not be limited to: ● Managing the newsletter process and its publication, including: ○ Having access to and know how to use MailChimp ○ Gathering and editing content, including articles, recipes, stories, event recaps, photos ● Producing targeted emails using MailChimp ● Creating Facebook events, Google Forms for RSVPs, and collages for all regional events ● Recording minutes during monthly Board meetings and sending them to the Advisory Board
Technology Director The primary duties of the Director of IT shall include, but not be limited to: ● Maintaining the YJP website and all its functions, including removing broken links, updating content pages, making recommendations for improvement and/or redesign. ● Working with the Public Relations Director and Communications Director to ensure all YJP activities are properly documented on the website ● Using integration (with MailChimp, Social Media, Event Registration, etc.) to work towards a comprehensive and goto website. ● Creating new functions to make website use more efficient and userfriendly

Projects Director The primary duties of the Director of Project Development shall include, but not be limited to: ● Initiating and coordinating board wide projects that have a spiritual, professional networking and/or community service component ● Collaborating with other organizations to bring projects to a larger community, including JAINA, YJA, and other nonprofit organizations that align with the mission of YJP. ● Assisting the CoChairs and the Advisory Board with the YJP election process by coordinating a fair and transparent elections process, training the current Executive Committee their responsibilities, and updating the election guidelines, as needed. ● Acting as a liaison for the YJP Convention and JAINA Convention by: ○ Leading the effort in choosing the next city for the YJP Convention ○ Compiling documents and other important materials from the previous YJP Convention to ensure continuity and longterm planning ○ Acting as the liaison between JAINA and YJP for professional sessions to be hosted at each JAINA Convention.
