YOUTH EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY COMMUNITY AND SOCIAL MEDIA ANIMATOR (TEMPORARY FULL TIME) This position is subject to successful funding under the Canada NRC IRAP Youth Employment Program. Candidates must be eligible for the funding under this program. PERIOD:
Approximately mid June to mid september, 2018 (subject to funding)
SALARY:
$18/hr to $22/hr, depending on skills and experience
HOURS:
Full Time (minimum 30 hours to maximum 40 hours per week)
LOCATION:
Vancouver, BC. Work from home most of the time. Travel outside of Vancouver may be required.

Identifying and liaising with potential Wayblaze customers (organizations and businesses that are interested in impact-focused crowdfunding projects and initiatives) Conducting online research regarding innovative community projects Creating compelling social media content to promote our services and reach potential customers, including blog articles and twitter/facebook/instagram/linkedin posts. Increasing our social media followers Building and managing lists of potential customers Scheduling and organizing team meetings and compiling agendas Taking and distributing notes from team meetings Analyzing qualitative and quantitative data from surveys Supporting the design and facilitation of community outreach events and conferences
This role may also require other related duties in keeping with the qualifications and requirements of the job. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
The ideal candidate will possess excellent outreach, organizational and communication skills and will have a strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who brings ideas and solutions to the team. ● ●

Ability to write compelling social media and blog content Degree or college certificate in a field related to Community Planning, Sustainable Development, Geography, Business, Public Administration or Community Development. Writing skills should include an attention to copyediting and grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Creative, curious, problem-solving, and collaborative attitude and working style. Well-organized with strong ability to prioritize assignments and manage workload. Ability to work independently (with occasional check-ins) Excellent written and verbal communication skills with English fluency. Ability to check written communications for accuracy is critical, as is the ability to take and transcribe accurate meeting minutes. Good interpersonal skills
