STEP 1 Please Follow the Steps Below If you have already followed the steps in Part 1 you have completed the initial set-up of client’s account. The YouTube account now has to be verified in order to link external links such as your website and social networking properties. This step needs to be completed by receiving and entering a code that YouTube will send you either via text or voice call. 1) Go to www.youtube.com, click on Sign in on the top right corner and sign in with your business Gmail provided above. Next from the menu on the left, click on My Channel, then click on Video Manager, this will bring up the CREATOR STUDIO menu.


STEP 2 2) Click on Channel within the Creator Studio

Then click on Verify in the Status and features menu


STEP 3 3) This will bring you to the Account verification screen. You will need to select your country, and how you would like to receive the code. Use the selection as requested above

You will then need to enter the phone number that you wish to receive the code to (please note each phone number can only be used for 2 account verifications per year). Enter the phone number in the box provided and click Submit

Next, you will be brought to the screen to enter your verification code. After you receive and enter the code, your account will be verified and you can then add in the affiliated links you want. Click Continue on the Congratulations screen to return to the Status and Features


STEP 4 4) Within the Creator Studio menu, click the channel’s Status and Features page. Check off the External annotations box in order to activate that feature


STEP 5 5) Once this has been completed and while still in the Creator Studio for the Channel you will click on the Advanced button on the left hand menu below your Status and Features menu selection. Scroll down and fill in the URL of your website in the associated website section (http://), then click Add

You will see the Pending button is lit up. You will then click on verify to confirm that you own the site


STEP 6 6) Follow the prompts to Verify that you own the site (you will be given an option depending on your site provider) and click verfiy.

You have now successfully verified your YouTube Channel!
