What this document is
Baron's Cove, a waterfront hotel in Sag Harbor, New York, allows dogs in a limited number of its Village Garden Rooms rather than throughout the property, and sets out the terms under its Travels with Charley package, named after John Steinbeck's travel memoir about touring the United States with his poodle.
Under the policy, only one medium-sized dog of up to fifty pounds is permitted per room, dog-friendly rooms must be booked in advance by phone because availability is limited each night, and every dog must be registered at the front desk on arrival. A guest found with an unregistered dog is charged a flat fine plus a nightly dog rate added to the room bill. The package itself bundles daily breakfast for two, a copy of Steinbeck's book and a welcome kit for the dog.
Outside the designated rooms, Baron's Cove maintains a no-pets policy across the rest of the hotel and its restaurant, with the standard exception made for service animals.
