PON-13-607 was a 2013 funding solicitation issued by the California Energy Commission under its Alternative and Renewable Fuel and Vehicle Technology Program, aimed at building out hydrogen refueling infrastructure for fuel cell electric vehicles across the state. It drew 61 applications and was structured around several separate competitions, including support for stations running on 100 percent renewable hydrogen, funding for mobile refuelers, and grants covering operation and maintenance of existing stations.
Applicants were scored against criteria covering qualifications, market viability, project readiness, implementation plan, budget, economic benefits, technical performance, innovation and sustainability, with a minimum combined score required to qualify for an award.
