Dear Families,  Quarter 2 is in full motion! Thank you for all that you do for our scholars!

1) Report Card Night. Parents, please be reminded that Wednesday is a 1:45 P.M. dismissal for report card night. To ensure we are able to have a touch point with parents, we are asking parents to pick up report cards from the school in person. To accommodate your schedule, report cards can be picked up from 1:45 – 7:00 P.M. on October 26th. We hope this extended time will allow you to come more easily. 2) Powerschool. Please be reminded that all parents have access to their grades on powerschool. While the Uplift App does not work, each parent can login to Powerschool to get updated grades. If you do not have your username and password, please email our registrar, Mrs. Kirby at [email protected].

Estamos emocionados para el 2 trimestre! Gracias por todo lo que hacen, por nuestros escolares! Como recordatorio, encontrará los siguientes anuncios: 1) Noche de Calificaciones: Para asegurar de poder tener un punto de contacto con los padres, estamos pidiendo a los padres que recojan tarjetas de calificaciones, de la escuela en persona, en el pasillo del auditorio del lado oeste. Para acomodar su horario, tarjetas de calificaciones pueden ser recogidos de 1:45-7:00pm el 26 de octubre. Esperamos que este tiempo adicional le permitirá llegar con mayor facilidad. 2) Powerschool: Les recordamos que todos los padres tienen acceso a las notas en PowerSchool. Mientras que la App Uplift no funciona, cada padre puede iniciar sesión en Powerschool para obtener grados actualizados. Staff Changes and Updates As mentioned in last week’s memo, we currently have two staff members expecting to deliver  children who have  scheduled maternity leave – Mrs. Wazoua, our 6th Grade English Teacher and  Mrs. Pitts, our 6th – 8th Art Teacher. As a result, we have hired Mrs. Gayle Malvern for the rest of the  year Mrs. Malvern will cover for Mrs. Wazoua from November until mid‐January. She will then cover  Mrs. Pitts from February until April.   Some of you have asked for her contact information and her expertise. Mrs. Malvern is currently a  consultant for the school district, taught for over 10 years, and has been a substitute with Infinity for  the past 2 years. Mrs. Malvern can be reached at [email protected]. You can meet her at  Report Card Night.   As you know, Mrs. Johnson, one of our two technology teachers, is no longer with us due to a family  emergency. We are still actively interviewing for a replacement. In the interim, we have a long term  substitute, Mr. Trey Hunter, who has agreed to fill the vacancy. He was a substitute for us this past  week, and I am confident he will do a good job.  Library Fundraiser and Book Fair – Coffee Dollars for Scholars  Do you like coffee as much as me? For the price of a cup of coffee, you can donate anywhere from  $1.00 to $5.00 or more to your scholar’s library.  Currently, middle school does not use the school  library because we have very few middle school books. Our dream is to allow scholars to visit the  library every week. How can you help?  1. Donate $1.00 ‐ $5.00 on GoFundMe. Our website is: https://www.gofundme.com/infinitylibrary    2. Visit the Book Fair. All scholars will have the opportunity to visit the fair to identify a wish list and  then return later to buy a book. All proceeds will go toward building our school library.    3. Los cambios de personal Como se mencionó en las notas de la semana pasada, actualmente tenemos dos miembros del personal esperando bebes, que han programado permiso de maternidad - Sra. Wazoua, Maestra de Inglés del 6to Grado y la Señora Pitts, maestra de arte del 8º grado. Como resultado, hemos contratado a la Señora Gayle Malvern, quien tiene más de 10 años de experiencia en la enseñanza. La Señora Malvern cubrirá la señora Wazoua desde noviembre hasta mediados de enero. Ella entonces cubrirá la Señora Pitts de febrero a abril.
